Advocacy and Awareness
ARSPHR is committed to advocating for the rights and justice of the Rohingya people through peaceful means. The organization has engaged with prominent international and national entities, including the United Nations (UN), the UN Security Council (UNSC), the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the UN Special Envoy for Myanmar, and the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Myanmar. ARSPHR also raises awareness by collaborating with journalists and posting our own content on social media platforms. In addition, ARSPHR leads demonstrations, protests, and strikes, and issues statements to amplify the voices of the Rohingya community and advocate for their rights.
Community Empowerment
ARSPHR actively works to empower the Rohingya community within refugee camps, promoting democracy and human rights education. Through its efforts, the organization fosters unity and resilience, enabling the community to participate in initiatives that aim to improve their living conditions and advocate for their collective rights. ARSPHR’s work emphasizes building awareness of fundamental rights and fostering hope for a democratic and peaceful future.
Documentation and Justice
A key focus of ARSPHR is documenting the violence and human rights violations committed against the Rohingya people in Myanmar. This includes collecting data on killings, injuries, arrests, rapes, and the destruction of villages, homes, schools, mosques, religious schools (madrasas), markets, and shops by Myanmar’s armed forces. This evidence serves as a critical resource in the pursuit of justice for the crimes committed during the 2016–2017 genocidal campaign and other acts of oppression. By preserving this data, ARSPHR contributes to global accountability efforts and supports initiatives for justice and reparations.
